Graduates of the “Education for Victory” program held a strategic session in Zhovkva.

On July 20, 2024, in the city of Zhovkva, graduates of the “Education for Victory” program held a strategic session organized by Grand Strategy UA, in collaboration with active participants of the program. The event brought together leaders and specialists from various fields, including the mayor of Zhovkva, Oleg Volskyi, Ukraine’s youngest mayor and a graduate of the program’s second cohort. The primary aim of the meeting was to discuss issues related to community development and the preservation of the city’s historical heritage.



The session’s program was packed with key topics, including:
- Positioning Zhovkva as a cultural center: Participants discussed ways to highlight the city’s unique architecture and rich history to attract tourists and partners.
- Preservation of historical monuments as a cultural diplomacy strategy: Discussions focused on preserving iconic sites such as Zhovkva Castle, Verbytskyi Palace, and St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral, which are significant elements of the city’s cultural capital.
- Economic development through collaboration with investors: Participants developed a plan to attract investments to support the local economy and create new jobs in Zhovkva.



As a result of the strategic session, a series of priority initiatives were identified for implementation in collaboration with Zhovkva’s municipal government. These include:
- Developing a preservation and restoration program for historical monuments;
- Creating a tourism strategy to attract international visitors and enhance the city’s image;
- Launching cultural diplomacy initiatives to increase Zhovkva’s recognition on the international stage.

Through the involvement of “Education for Victory” graduates and the support of the local community, session participants are confident that new ideas and strategic decisions will contribute to Zhovkva’s gradual revitalization, fostering both economic and cultural growth.
This event marked an important step in the collaboration between “Education for Victory” graduates and local authorities to achieve common goals and create sustainable development conditions for the city. It also served as an excellent example of the practical application of skills gained during the program and the benefits of networking.
